Kelvin Grove

DESCRIPTION

The blend of residential, rural and industry has seen Kelvin Grove grow extensively with a lot of new housing developments and lifestyle blocks popping up. The most recent addition is a shopping centre including a supermarket, hairdresser and takeaway shops. The area is also home to national distribution centres, as well as Toyota New Zealand’s head office. The original inhabitants of the area were the local Rangitāne iwi and the first Europeans arrived in Kelvin Grove in 1871.
